The Dude Abides

This weekend, as a Halloween warm-up, we threw a Big Lebowski party. The idea was to dress up as your favorite character, drink a few White Russians, hit the lanes, then watch the movie. It went better than I dared hope. The cast of characters was inspiring. We had The Dude, Walter Sobchak, Donnie, Maude, The Jesus, Bunny, the Nine-Toed Nihilist, and even the Girls from Gutterballs. All in all, it was a complete success: we had a great time, I won both games of bowling, we didn't get ejected from the lanes, and we got some classic pictures.
