Today, my middle school kids averaged 2.9 out of 20 on their weekly review test. That number was artificially inflated by the one kid who scored 12/20; he was the only one to make it to double digits. I explained to them that a score of 0 or 1 was statistically improbable, yet six of nine managed to achieve this.
Way to send me off with a bang, kiddos . . .
