I Believe The Children Are Our Future, Pt. 2
One of our topics of discussion today was the question of what you would do if you were invisible. An unscientific poll revealed the following results. What is disturbing is that this is not the class of future buccanners, gangsta rappers, and frauds.
Wait, no one brought up the matter of sneaking into showers/changing rooms?
In Thomas Berger's Being Invisible, the protagonist's powers do him little good:
"It could not be said that he was making good use of invisibility. Thus far he had collected shameful information on several persons by inadvertant surveillance, bilked a greasy spoon of several bucks, stolen a sum of money for which an innocent young woman would be blamed, [and] ruined Babe's dinner date. . . There could be no satisfaction in the perusal of a record of that sort."
Max was surprised by the lack of perverted answers as well. Most of my kids were too young to come up with that answer. If they did, they kept it to themselves.
