Books

Thanks to the Internets we were able to find an English bookstore in our area. Most of the books were aimed at the school market, and while I'm desperate for reading material, I'm not desperate enough to purchase a 5th grade science textbook. They did, however, have a decent selection of classics and bestsellers, such as The Audacity of Hope and a book by that creepy tool Joel Osteen.

Brenda picked up Freakonomics and Tuesdays with Morrie, while I grabbed A Farewell to Arms which I will begin reading once I finish the Cormack McCarthy bloodbath recommended by my father. I also bought The Great Gatsby, on the recommendation of this chap:
