Krispy Kreme

My name is James, and I'm a Krispy Kreme addict.

Yes, Krispy Kreme has a presence in the far-off land of Daejeon. Specifically, it has a presence between my apartment and my subway stop. The thing to keep in mind is that - for reasons I'll never know - most coffee shops are closed in the morning. When I leave the house at 9 AM, I pass by two or three shops that have not yet opened their doors. As a Seattleite, a day without a mocha is like a day without oxygen. As Krispy Kreme is the only vendor open for business, I have little choice but to drop in. Every day. Yes, it's gotten so bad that the girl who works there remembers my order (mocha, no whipped cream).

How could anyone resist when they give out a free doughnut with every purchase? In fact, they used to give out a free doughnut WITHOUT purchase. Theoretcially, you could walk in, get your free doughnut, and leave. This was probably the reason for the policy change. Oh well. According to the display, each doughnut is just 200 calories. This doesn't sound true, but I'm too afraid to confirm it.
