Holy Run-On Sentence, Batman!

I just received a two-paragraph essay from a student that didn't included a single punctuation mark I find this deeply irritating because it seems like using a period would be one of the easier parts of learning the English language Did nobody ever inform this child that periods and question marks end sentences Or is he just the laziest student ever Either way it was disheartening He did not receive a favorable grade
