At the end of every class, I put the kids in groups to work on a critical thinking project. Today, one team included two of my better students: a boy named Ho Jun and a girl named Monica. As I was explaining the directions for the project, Monica was suddenly struck by a brilliant idea:
"Teacher! Ho Jun . . . Monica . . . Team HoMo!!!"
I should add that knowing this girl and the way she giggled afterwards, I think it was deliberate.
